Opinions and Takes

⇒ I'm frustrated by people's bullshit and god-awfull drama. From teenagers who changes their opinion within a whip, to grown adults who forces their personal biases in "neutral truths", I figured that I'm allowed to share mine, especially since most of them aren't commonly shared online.
⇒ If people can make video essaies on the most unimportant discourses, I'm allowed to make a page on my own opinions.
⇒ If someone wants to know how I feel about a specific question or drama, I can link this page to them.
⇒ Because it helps me vent my frustrations over idiots online.
Also, please read trigger warnings before reading the whole paragraph associated to the title. I'm not responsible for your well being, I refuse to censor words and how I express myself, all I can do is share trigger warnings so that you can skip said subjects. I'm not to censor my swears, and I will never (on this website at least) use terms like PDF file, unalive, cheese pizza and more.
Censoring trigger warnings is dangerous ⇒ Trigger warnings are words used to warn readers and viewers on a potentionally triggering subject, especially for those who suffers from anxiety and/or PTSD. They also serve as keywords to filter vents and rants for people who doesn't want to see them. How will the app/website be able to filter those if all the tags are censored with leet-speak or stupid look-a-likes like "PDF file" for pedophile ? They can't. And there you go, by censoring yourself, you've accidently shoved something triggering in someone's for-you page after they tried to hide posts with the said tag. Don't be a moron, say the whole word, no one will die over one word. "But what if those people are triggered by the word itself ?" then they had already filtered it out, or if they didn't, it's not your damn responsibility. Censoring triggers is for being ad-friendly, not to protect others.
Kids should have a serious, honest and explicit sex education (tw sexual abuse, mention of sex)⇒ Before you call me any sort of innapropriate and false label, read the full thing. By sex education, it isn't just about intercourse, I'm also talking about puberty, menstruation, changes in emotions, feelings, consent, anything related to intimacy and LGBTQ+ topics. Sex ed should be more frequent and adapted to a broader number of age groups. A 6 year old should know about consent and that no one has to touch their private parts. An 11 year old should know what puberty is and how to deal with those changes, LGBTQIA+ topics and the dangers of early porn consumption. A 15 year old should know about sexualisation in medias, sexual abuse, sex practices, grooming online and offline, etc. I don't want teachers to just make innuedos or censor themselves, I want these topics to be brought up directly, because the more these kids know about the topic, the less likely they are to be in dangerous situations. In our world, no one is safe from sexual abuse, and you're at higher risk if you have no clue on what sexual abuse is and how easy it is to find yourself in a grooming relationship. Conservatives uses lies and hidden truth to teac kids bullshit on sex and intimacy, and they will not hesitate to tell little girls that rape is fine if given the chance. No, I don't want people to show kids how to have kinky sex, about the details of BDSM, or show them porn to teach them sex, don't put words I didn't wrote in this paragraph, because THIS is sexually abusive. What I want is for kids to not be clueless on a risk extremely present on social medias, especially since nowadays, the number 1 mean to find kids to pimp out are on social medias.
Trigger/dni lists are also dangerous ⇒ For those who didn't know, some folks online share lists where they put topics or people they don't want to interact with. I've heard it was supposed to warn their followers and friends about their own triggers, or to proove they don't support biggots or problematic stuff. First of all : you don't have to share every single thing that actively distresses you online, where anyone can see is (especially predators and trolls) . Do you seriously think that if you put "homophobes dni", homophobic morons will restrain themselves ? No, they'll double down to piss you off. If you don't want to see a certain type of content, filter it, most social medias have this option, and if someone DMs you with something triggering, BLOCK THEM. You don't owe anyone a whole list of stuff that'll actively hurt you, keep them to people you can trust with these informations. Trigger and DNI lists are food for trolls, and one of the first thing you learn online is to not feed them. Also, putting "I'm against racism" is incredibly stupid because...like... that should be basic, and people who are racist should be the one tagged publicly as such.
You should be allowed to like "problematic" stuff. (tw : pedophilia, gore, abuse, murder)⇒ I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PEDOPORNOGRAPHY OR SNUFFS ! You should be allowed to like Harry Potter, Mindless Self Indulgence, Yandere Simulator, The Painter, without being called a horrible label or "romantisizing abuse/gore/pedophilia". People have their own reasons to like problematic medias, and it's none of your business to assume the worse. Sure, if that person also condones the problematic parts of the media, they should be called out for it, but the media itself isn't solely responsible if said person has these believes or acts on them. Beisdes, not all problematic medias are the same, calm down and think for a second and think before making that damn X thread callout poust. If playing GTA 5 won't turn a 16 year old into a gangster who runs over prostitudes, then listening to MSI won't turn a 16 year old into a pedophile just because Jimmy Urine made the song "panty shots" (and just to be clear, I agree a 100% that this song is disgusting, even if it's just "humour").Fiction affects reality, but fiction isn't reality, you shouldn't analyse fictional events like they're real, regardless on how problematic or realistic it is, unless it it based or copying real life events, that's why the Jeffrey Dahmer netflix show is problematic, because Dahmer and his victims were real people, and the show was made without the consent of the victim's families and glorified the murderer.
Adding a psychiatric term/diagnosis before "abuse" is ablelist and psychophobic. (tw psychophobia or demonizing mental illness narratives) ⇒ You know, "narcisistic abuse". I heavily dislike it because it normalises that some diagnosis are inherently bad. NPD and BPD can look-a-like a lot, and they belong in the same cluster, so if it's incredibly psychophobic to say "borderline abuse", then "narcisistic abuse" also is. Call out the abuse, not the mental illness, abuse is shitty and should be corrected, regardless of who does it. While I do agree that some mental illnesses and neurodevelopmental disorders has an effect on how someone act and think, it's still irresponsible to link those acts and believes to their condition(s) alone.
You can't save others from their issues, and others can't save you from yours. ⇒ Support is great, and medical help is always welcomed. But if someone doesn't actually put any effort into changing their behaviour and mindsets, no matter the amount of love you give them, they won't change. That includes you. If you don't want to change something bad about you, then stop forcing people to help you. Don't be a leech, and don't let people leech on you. Focus on making them see that they can change, and that it's worth it, don't bother changing them yourself. And if they still don't want to change... sorry but give up, go find new friends, mute their vents, don't waste your time saving people who likes to drown and won't hesitate to drown you along. Your time is limited and you should be focusing on yourself first. And if you feel like you HAVE to help them, then sorry but you're either being abused, exploited or you have saviour syndrom.
Gore isn't better than Porn (cw for gore and porn obviously) ⇒ I really hate how much gore is so accepted and tolerated in kids/teenagers spaces, while lewd is excluded with no exeptions. I don't think minors should be seeing porn, no matter if it was found by themselves or given by adults, but I don't think gore is any better. Kids can get addicted to watching gore videos because they can get a rush of emotions from them, kids can be groomed using gore to lower their tolerance level, and making gore art out of kids media and showing it to them is weird. There's a double standard between gore and lewd, neither are good for mental health, so why an image of Pinkie Pie being sexy (as much as a pink difformed pony can be) is seen as terrible, while Pinkie Pie gore are a-ok to share on a sfw instagram account ? Perhaps you grew up or were groomed in a community that normalises gore art and now you don't see it as an issue anymore...
Is this your opinion, or are you just repeating what a youtuber said ? You know them "Hazbin Hotel is bad because it romantisizes Angel Dust's abuse !" or "Actually, Steven Univers is a nazi apologist cartoon...". I sincerely believe that most people just repeat what they hear from the others without actually consuming the media first. It's so common to see those teenagers (because let's be honest, most of these parrots are teenagers) repeat the same argument, without understanding what they actually mean and unable to give you real examples of said arguments. Can anyone actually proofs that Hazbin Hotel fetishes and romantisizes Angel Dust's abuse, outside of that one story boarder who's being innapropriate on twitter ? They can't because it isn't romantisation, and within the show, Angel Dust's coping mechanism and trauma respond are pretty accurate for victims of (especially chilhood) sexual abuse and developped hypersexuality at least.
AI image generation won't help disabled folks (tw ablelism)⇒ I've seen people draw with their fucking mouth, disabled people will always find a way to deal with their disability if they want to draw. Disabled people don't need to lower themselves into using AI image generation to make or get art, they can learn how to doodle, and some diabled folks makes masterpieces (Sarah Biffin is one of them, for example) which are regarded as "high art". If the only way you've find to make art, disabled or not, is to leech of other people's art while drying out the planet, then you suck ass, pick up a pencil or go find another hobby if it's too hard. And if you can't do that neither, then MAYBE you have more pressing issues than to draw anime tits.
Proship/Antis discourse is double standarded bullshit made by mentally immature weebs who can't take different opinions calmly.(tw homophobia, pedophilia. Note : I might make its own section as my opinion on this matter is way more developped, and it has plagued so many online spaces that I think it needs a bigger section...) ⇒ Did you know that, technically, the moment you ship something that isn't canon, it's proshipping ? Antishipping was, in the beggining, specific to unique ships, like "anti zosan" (Zoro x Sanji), and were blogs/tags that explicits one's opinion on a ship. Then, later on, other people protested against the idea of antishipping with proshipping blogs. At first "anti-antis", they slowly started to use the term "proship", like "pro zosan". Only then it became a generalised topic, with no specific ship attached to it... And it's even more stupid. Now, those who identifies as "antis" are actually pro censorship and bullying if you dare to be problematic to their standards, and those who identifies as "proship" are victims of grooming, predators and will bully you if you dare to call critisize them. Neither sides have fixed criterias, it's only based on personal values and preferences, which leads to constant arguments especially within those groups themselves. Both should be touching grass, learn how to analyse medias and realise how double standard their judgement is.
Do you even know what problematic is ? (tw romantisizing mass murder, pedophilia) ⇒ Sometimes, when I'm bored, I type a fictional character's name, followed by "carrd", because some people doesn't know what problematic is and yet will label litteral children media as problematic. I've seen, no jokes here, someone label "Steven Universe" as problematic, right next to lolicon. Is the show perfect and without issues ? No. But is it problematic ? That would be a huge stretch, and sincerely unfair. Something descriped as problematic is when it creates, reinforces or normalises a problem. An actual problematic media would be Rampage (2009, Uwe Boll), as the main character is seen as deep and justified in his mass murders, even though he's merely just a glorified incel with riffles who kills becaue he's anti-social and uses "society bad" as an excuse. Another problematic media would be Puppy Milk (Agatha Kartoffel), since her comic is about deeply personal, sexuality-related vent art, which depics sexual abuse/cohertion very explicity of her child (self insert ?) oc, and it was shared publicly without the proper warnings. I also believe there's a scale in problematic content, because some of these content is just questionnable but perfectly legal, while some should genuinely be banned (CP, snuff, that kind of stuff). Fiction affects reality, I agree a 100%, but fiction isn't reality and should not be treated equaly. You all should also be responsible, if something is FOR ADULTS, and you're a MINOR, then don't comsume that fucking media.
No, Bi-lesbian (or contradictory/weird labels in general) isn't problematic. ⇒ Have you seen how queer people in the 90's describes themselves ? People using weird ass labels has always existed, and you bullying others about it makes you look like a close minded assholes. Not everyone is the perfect little queer who fits their label perfectly, some go wild and even uses multiple labels which should cancel each other and it's not a problem ! Unless the label includes ACTUAL harm (zoophile, MAP, super-straight, etcetera...), you shouldn't be giving a damn about how people experience their lives and how they label it, and trying to shove your own DIY label on others will make you look like a gate keeper. Yep, that's what you are, a gatekeeper exclusionist who uses queer vocabulary to make it appear as valid.
Speaking of which, you don't need to create new labels to play little woke-exclusionist with colorfull striped flags. ⇒ I've seen so many pseudo labels created by, let's be honest, teenagers online not for the sake of genuinely offering new ways to identity yourself but to feel more important than they actually are. I recently stumbled across so many posts on pinterest, with a caption similar to "Hey, (more popular label) is outdated and problematic, please use mine instead !!!" with the most basic pride flag ever and ugly colors. Nobody will use that label nor flag, go find another hobby that isn't about flag and label discourse.
Shipping culture is bullshit. I'm not talking about taking it light heartedly, or making fanarts of multiple characters you like smooching, I'm talking about making whole blogs pro/anti a certain ship, having genuine arguments about it, making it your whole online identity, etc... Can you, just for a second, see that your favourite media isn't just about shipping ? Amatonormativity is so present in our cultures, mixed with fandoms, it created one of the worst online argument (see above "Proship/Antis discourse is double standarded bullshit made by mentally immature weebs who can't take different opinions calmly."). It seems like you're not an actual fan of said media, but like a larper who needs a reason to fight with others on tumblr.
Cringe culture isn't dead.(tw ablelism) ⇒I agree to a 100% that we should never bully or harass anyone for having "cringe" interests, I won't mock anyone for liking kids stuff, having a special interest what isn't common, making fursuit out of paper or whatever percieved cringey thing. BUT I heavily disagree with the idea that it has died. Not only cringe compilations are not dead (they've just evolved into art lore and equivalents), but people bullying you for making them cringe is still very common. Art lore is still a thing, many kids are being roasted over clearly amateur begginer art, autistic people are still mocked for having the wrong special interest, etc ! Cringe culture can't die because the source won't go away (which is the ever growing expectation that anything you post should be perfect and safe for everyone). I want it to die, but it's not dead and won't die given how the internet treats "cringe". And no, making a sparkle dog oc and dressing in alt clothes doesn't mean you're fully against cringe culture if you still harass anyone who isn't fitting your expectation of "acceptable cringe". Either accept all the cringe, or shut up. It's a-OK to dislike things, to find them embarassing, to feel uneasy with them, but that's your problem, stop interacting with those who enjoy it and fan content.
Closed species are scams and anti freedom of expression. ⇒I'm not talking about selling a character or a design, I'm talking about selling the rights to make a type of character. HOW ON EARTH ARTISTS ONLINE THOUGHT THAT FORCING ANYONE TO PAY TO GET THE RIGHT TO MAKE AN OC IS ACCEPTABLE ??? No seriously. Think about it. Artists take inspiration all the time on about anything, they sometimes even steal bits of another artists' work to impliment it in their art work, and then they'll make you pay just to get the right to create an oc with a set of characteristics. It's against the very nature of getting inspiration and a dirty move to put a paywall in front of anyone inspired. Imagine if tomorrow Oda forces you to pay him for making a fishman oc, people would hate it because it's selfish and greedy... so are most closed specie. I would support any artist who sells ocs they've made because its design is originial and they'll be given additional art work, but oh my god are those "Make your own" closed specie stuff incredibly stupid. Imagine having to win a contest or worse, PAY, just to be allowed to make ONE oc. Closed specie are basically rich kid's and rich furries nft without the ressource wasting part. Oh and, fuck you Closed Species makers who encourage or allow their fan-base to harass other artists over "illegaly made closed specie ocs".
Some drawings are just ugly ⇒ Ugly doesn't mean worthless, nor useless, nor that the artist is bad and they should stop drawing. But I'm not going to be a nice little ass kisser by saying that everyone makes beautiful, breath taking artwork. Sometimes, your drawing sucks ass. Sometimes, your stylistic choices makes your OC look incredibly fucked up unintentionally. Sometimes, your lack of effort is showing. It doesn't mean you deserve mean comments, bullying, harrassement, and else. Hell, I, myself, unironically like bad drawings. I just don't side with those toxic positive glazers who'll whine if you dare to suggest an art piece is ugly.
(One Piece) Yamato is both a good AND terrible trans character. (tw transphobia and spoilers) ⇒ I wholeheartly believe that Yamato is a transgender character, because gender is kind of weird and some people relies heavily on their idoles to transition, and even after the end of the Wano Arc, he still keeps he/him pronouns. His whole arc is about fighting for his identity (not really as a man, but as Oden), he bathes in the men only hot springs, he calls himself Kaido's son, and that if "Oden was a man, then I (Yamato) will be one to !". He's visibly gender non conforming, probably because he lives in an isolated island with no means to alter his physical appearance and body, and I don't think him being visibly AFAB isn't an issue, it doesn't cancel his (nor anyone's) identity. HOWEVER, Everything outside of direct dialogues within the story invalidates his identity as a man. He's put in the female only art work (Kiku, a trans woman, is excluded btw), his vive card calls him "female" with no additions (unlike Kiku who is "Male (heart of a maiden, which is an euphenism for identifies as a woman)"), and there are a lot of focus on his chest, just like most female characters in One Piece. His outfit looks suspiciously similar to female shrine maiden's, especially the red hakama (pants) which are unique to shrine maidens. And finally, Yamato is never refered as his choosen name "Oden", which means we are all dead-naming him (yes, even by those who are pro "Yamato is trans"). It would have been such a good representation if Oda and JUMP weren't cowards by making Yamato just a girl who uses he/him pronouns. It genuinely upsets me that so many people keeps claiming that he's a good trans representation, because I don't think a transmasc character who's treated just like every female characters, drawn exactly like them, but only uses he/him pronouns and a more masculine speech, is "good trans representation".
(Needy Girl Overdose) Idolising Ame-chan/kAngel makes you look like a clueless idiot. (tw spoilers, psychophobia, SH and abuse) ⇒ I'll be frank here, I do not like Ame-chan/kAngel kinnies. I don't like them because most of them are glorifying that character into either a cutsey blorbo, or to feel valid in their never ending victimhood. I'm not here to blame victims of childhood abuse, substance abuse, self harm, internet addiction and unhealthy attention-seeking behaviour. I'm not going to shame you for not getting better quickly and easily, but Ame-chan is not a good person, her life choices are terrible and in many endings, her unhealthy behaviour will kill her or get her cancelled out of internet. She's problematic, and since y'all hate that word, you better accept that problematic media and character has their place in fandoms, or accept that you're a huge hypocrite. And just for those who hadn't played the game, Ame chan canonly has (spread between different endings) : talked down to her fans, created a cult, has made a stream so sexually explicit she'd be banned out of streaming, has made many sexually suggestive streams before that one, has made many streams promoting conspiracy theories, self harmed on stream, and all of that without age restricting her audience. I personally don't care since the game is about critisizing using social media's for attention and it does it well, but Ame-chan shouldn't be a model, and her behaviour isn't cute.
