Birdie (he/it)

Birdie is (or was) a youtuber, artist and animator from the US. He's also known as Damagecoda6669, Lucifer, [deadname] and Jack. He became active online at around 10 years old, grew popular between the age of 13 to 16, then had a multiple year hiatus, came back in 2024 and fell back into obscurity in 2025.

My biggest grivance and critisism towards the commentarors is their lack of empathy. No one should accept, tolerate or validate Jack's acts and crimes, and I'm not here to police how you should feel about him. Jack is still someone who doxxed his ex partners and lovers, abused friends family and pet, neglected his relationships, groomed a child, and became a pest among his friend group. However, can we stop pretending as if C-PTSD, the abuse and neglect he got as a child, living with biggoted parents, grooming, autism and psychosis doesn't influence one's choices ? Don't get me wrong, I believe this guy is a huge liar and will not hesitate to bullshit a sob story to justify his act, but believing that none of the things he went thought could have influenced his behaviour is ablelist and psychophobic.
Let's not lie to ourselves, most people who talks about him does it for the clout. This guy is a lolcow, making some heavily triggering and attention-catching content around him is very easy, but I don't think there's no pride to take in when your popularity relies on making fun of other's misery and mistakes. I make a pretty clear distinction between informative content and commentary-slop, and seeing the same kind of 15 year old twitter user talking about how "problematic" Birdie is without explaining why is tiring.
Birdie is not some 10000 IQ mastermind, he's an overgrown child who hadn't grew up since he was 12. He's about to turn 21 this year, but can't consider the consequences of his words and actions like an adult.
